About Me

I’m a thirty-something mom to four great kids (2 girls and 2 boys), recently relocated from northern California to Minnesota, with my husband, an actor turned software engineer, our dog, and a cockatiel. Our littlest guy has a variety of special needs, and receives special education services through our school district.

In my spare time, I try to catch Newcastle United football matches on satellite. I’m a triathlon geek, and love to run, bike and swim. I also play guitar (an electric Washburn MG), listen to music, or play computer games (especially MMOs, but I’ll play other things too). I read a ton of science fiction, theology and history, and I have a tech class radio license. Additionally, I’m a perpetual student. My undergraduate background is in classical archaeology and English literature, with graduate work in humanities.

We’re a sailing family, and can often be found sailing around San Francisco Bay many weekends, or flitting around the river in our little boat during the week.
